LEVEL 3 GENERAL PURPOSE SECURITY DOG HANDLERS COURSE
The NASDUlevel 3 national award for General Purpose Security Dog Handler teams. The course aims to provide the learner with the additional skills, knowledge and understanding required to ensure the provision of a professional level of service as a Advanced General Purpose Security Dog Handler
This programme meets the requirements of those who are Experienced General Purpose Security Dog Handlers who wish to advance their existing skills and to meet the requirements of the NASDU Code of Practice and the requirements of BS85 1 7-1: 2009 which recommends Security Dog Handlers undertake continuation training. All learners should have achieved the EDI Level 2 Award for General Purpose Security Dog Handling or hold a NASDU Basic General Purpose Dog Handler certificate, hold an appropriate S.I.A. Licence (unless exempt) and should be trained and competent in a general Security Officer role. The learner is also expected to have completed an appropriate number of continuation training hours since their last assessment and provide evidence of this.
This is not an attendance course you will be continually assessed throughout with many topics intended to improve the mental and physical ability of students. Our syllabus goes above and beyond the awarding body requirements giving you not only what is required for you to achieve the qualification but more importantly those skills required enabling you to be successful in the industry. It is designed to meet the needs of men and women from all walks of life regardless of background or previous knowledge.

This is a team (dog and handler) assessment of 16 days The dog should posses the suitable drive required and be trained to NASDU basic general purpose security dog level and been assessed as a NASDU General Purpose Security Dog. Please note we reserve the right to remove the team from the training program should we deem either the dog or handler unsuitable
